Dual-stage tube saturation that protects your bass while saturating everything else. FREAK HEAT is a professional tube saturator for Max for Live built on real vacuum tube amplifier topologies. Pentode and triode stages work together, one generates odd harmonics (grit, edge), the other generates even harmonics (warmth, thickness). The result is layered saturation that sounds both aggressive and smooth at the same time. Most saturators compress the entire signal including the sub-bass, killing low-end impact. FREAK HEAT solves this with sub-bass protection: frequencies below 60 Hz pass completely clean while everything else receives full saturation. Your kick stays punchy. Your bass stays deep. Everything else gets character. 8× oversampling with dynamic anti-aliasing means zero aliasing noise even at extreme saturation levels. Three flavours: Tube (neutral), Tape (warm), Console (bright), let you dial in the color without changing the core sound. An integrated HF exciter adds presence and sparkle.
