Le Roi Babar by Jean de Brunhoff Poster

Le Roi Babar by Jean de Brunhoff is one of the most recognisable images in classic children's literature, and this art print brings that iconic illustrated world directly to your walls. Jean de Brunhoff's original Babar books, first published in France in the early 1930s, introduced readers to a wonderfully imagined elephant kingdom rendered in gentle watercolour-style illustrations. The artwork carries the warmth, curiosity, and quiet dignity that made the series beloved across generations, with soft colour palettes and a storybook quality that feels both nostalgic and fresh.A print like this works naturally in a nursery or child's bedroom, where its gentle illustrated character and storybook charm set a calm, imaginative tone. It also suits a reading nook, a playroom, or even a home library where the focus is on celebrating classic illustration and literary culture. Interior styles that lean toward soft, curated, or eclectic sensibilities tend to pair well with it, and the muted tones typical of vintage children's book art sit comfortably alongside natural wood furniture and linen textiles. The print is produced on premium 200 g/m2 FSC certified matte paper, delivering a smooth, non-reflective surface that lets the illustrated detail read clearly.
