H2S logger – Acrulog
Acrulog gas monitor for monitoring hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) Monitoring hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) plays a critical role in protecting people and machinery. Hydrogen sulphide is known for its characteristic “rotten egg” smell and is often the main source of odour problems. To handle these challenges effectively, the Acrulog gas monitor is used: an advanced solution designed to monitor H₂S levels in the harsh environments typical of the wastewater industry. This monitor is also known as an H2S logger. The Acrulog gas monitor is an intrinsically safe, portable, battery-powered device. Its rugged design makes it ideal for use in challenging environments such as sewers, manholes and wet wells. One of the biggest advantages of the Acrulog unit is its versatile measuring range. It can measure H₂S concentrations from 0 to 2000 ppm, giving comprehensive coverage for different applications. Accurate gas detection is essential, and Acrulog delivers an accuracy of +/-2 ppm under standard temperature and pressure conditions. This ensures reliable data, which is essential for effective control and safety. With a wide temperature tolerance from -20C to 50C, the Acrulog unit works effectively in varying climatic conditions. The unit is also user-friendly, with wireless data transfer via Bluetooth® technology that makes it easy to download and analyse data. The long battery life, with options for both AA alkaline and D lithium batteries, ensures continuous operation and less maintenance. It can log up to 3 million data points, allowing users to collect and analyse large amounts of data over long periods. Additional features such as an external humidity sensor, a large clear display, optional output upgrades such as 4-20mA or RS485, and connectivity options such as 4G, LTE CAT M1 or NB-IoT make Acrulog a versatile and effective solution. With a 12-month warranty and robust ingress protection (IP68), Acrulog is a reliable partner in handling H₂S-related challenges. Overall, the Acrulog gas monitor is a high-tech, reliable and user-friendly device that plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing hydrogen sulphide in wastewater treatment processes. ACRULOG H₂S gas monitor (PPM) The Acrulog™ H₂S gas monitor is a portable data logger designed to withstand the harsh environments typical of the wastewater industry. Data can be downloaded via Bluetooth® wireless technology. Optional outputs: 4-20mA, RS485, 4G LTE-M or NB-IoT by connecting the data logger to our own Acrustat software. Available to buy or rent. Data collection and observations H₂S monitors were deployed for two weeks in April 2020 to collect data on minimum, maximum and daily patterns of H₂S levels. Based on the data collected, very low average H₂S levels were observed at each sampling location. Differential pressure monitoring An effective odour control system consists of more than just the technology that treats odours. The system must be designed to capture odours at the source, contain them under negative differential air pressure and convey them to odour control technology for treatment. Sampling equipment and analyses Separate monitors were used to measure ammonia and H₂S. Data was recorded at 10-minute intervals. Features & benefits Designed for sewers, manholes and wet wells. Wireless data download via Bluetooth® technology. Custom enclosure with easy access for battery changes. Easy data download with Acrustat software.
