The maximum flow and maximum head figures are measured at different points and can’t be reached at the same time. Real-world flow drops as lift and hose length increase. Do not run the pump dry, as this will damage it. Check polarity before connecting (+ and -). For best performance, use a fully charged battery and thick enough cable, keep the power cable short, and keep the suction hose as short and straight as possible. Thin or long cables and a weak battery are common reasons for low output.
