1977-78 Doug Griffin & Jerry Remy Game Worn Red Sox Jersey, Signed by Remy. The beloved second baseman enjoyed a fine ten-season Major League career playing for the Angels and Red Sox. He compiled a .275 career BA and was named an All-Star in the iconic 1978 season. Post career he spent thirty-four years as a successful TV broadcaster. Home white knit pullover sports "Boston" arched across the chest and "2" on the verso, all sewn-on in red on midnight navy tackle twill. Red and navy trim accentuates the v-neck collar, while tagging includes a "McAuliffe" label and "40" swatch. The year and washing instructions tags are no longer present, but the outlines of where they once resided are still visible. Also, the jersey appears to have extra length. Exhibits solid wear and the front is signed by Remy in 8/10 blue sharpie. Displays well. Please note that the jersey was originally made (with extra length) for second baseman Doug Griffin, who wore it in 1977 until he was released on June 21st of that year.
