They produced amazing monkey characters since its early days and everyone is enchanted when the iconic Steiff Jocko Chimpanzee comes to life as a hand puppet. Jocko's amazing expression with pocket glass eyes is as captivating as realistic. This puppet was handmade in Germany circa 1960s using the finest mohair plush and felt. Jocko's head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. It has lost Steiff button and tags over the years but still kept a great deal of charm and personality.
