Description: For subsea oil and gas pipelines, hydrotesting systems, and other applications where fresh water may be scarce, the abundance and accessibility of seawater can provide significant cost savings — but also serious corrosion risks. EcoLine® 6450 is a unique, bio-based corrosion inhibitor specifically developed for seawater hydrotesting, helping to mitigate the corrosive effects of salt water and protect the integrity and service life of critical assets. By forming a molecular layer on ferrous surfaces and inhibiting cathodic reactions, EcoLine® 6450 forms a protective barrier against high-chloride corrosive environments. Chromate and amine free, EcoLine® 6450 is engineered from 93% USDA certified biobased content and functions as an environmentally responsible alternative to traditional rust preventatives. Beyond hydrotesting, EcoLine® 6450 offers low dosage treatment for a wide variety of saltwater process applications.
