Vintage Coat Rack No. 20 Teak by Søren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl for Aksel Kjersgaard

This freestanding coat rack No. 20 made of teak takes root in the room like a stylized tree: a solid round base carries a powerful central column, from which curved branches fan out with numerous turned knobs. It was designed by Søren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl for the Danish manufacturer Aksel Kjersgaard in Odder. The teak surfaces have been cleaned and oiled, so the warm grain and honey-gold sheen remain visible.
