NZ Fungi Enamel Pin

New Zealand Fungi in a hard enamel pin designed by us. From the vibrant native Blue mushroom to the invasive Orange poreconch, the fungi found in Aotearoa is a diverse and visual (not always edible) feast. The pin is approximately 30mm wide and 30mm high and packaged on an illustrated backing card with a rubber back fixing. Where are these enamel pins made? These colourful enamel pins are designed by an independent creative gal Cat from Natty, and manufactured in China, where much of the world’s enamel pin production takes place. Rather than chasing the cheapest factory price, the designer chooses to work with established manufacturing partners who prioritise responsible sourcing. These include a UK-based supplier that uses SEDEX for ethical trade and social compliance assessments, and a US-based supplier that is a certified B Corp. As designs are reordered, production is gradually transitioning towards the B Corp supplier. It’s not about claiming perfection or pretending that manufacturing is simple. It’s about asking questions, choosing suppliers thoughtfully and continuing to make better decisions wherever possible. Because the story behind the little things matters too.
