Jochen Gerner draws in a language of his own — dense fields of colour and line built from grids and layered marks, more diagram than illustration. This book turns that approach on French cheese, following earlier volumes on birds and dogs. Two hundred drawings, made with pigmented India ink markers on school notebooks between 2025 and 2026, work through Roquefort, Comté, Munster, and dozens more — each rendered through reliefs, textures, and colour rather than realism.
