Extra Ordinary, Mark Luke Grant

'Extra Ordinary' is an evocative collection that explores the spontaneity found in everyday urban moments. Shot between 2023 and 2024, this body of work represents a year of discovery, patience, and storytelling through the lens of East London and beyond. Using 35mm film, a Leica rangefinder camera, and a 28mm or 35mm lens, Grant documents ordinary public life with warmth and wit, images that reward the viewer’s attention with layered meaning and subtle humour. “This book is about celebrating the overlooked and discovering the visual poetry in the everyday.” (Words by Mark Luke Grant.)
