Digital Art Class : Intro to Procreate Illustration w/RJ Gowdie

Tuesdays October 6, 13, 20, 27 6 - 8:30pm Tween/Teen/Adult Explore the platform Procreate in this challenging digital painting class. This course is specifically designed for those who are interested in pursuing a secondary art education. Students will learn the basics of procreate and how to use the various tools within the program. The instructor will lead the class in a step by step creation of digital art from a grisaille to full color rendering. Beginners are welcome – those with drawing ability are preferred. Students must bring the following supplies: (iPad's are not provided) iPad Pro, Apple pencil, procreate software. About the Instructor Robert J. Gowdie, Jr. Is a digital illustrator who attended both The Fashion Institute of Technology and The Art Students league. He worked primarily as a graphic designer for nearly thirty years, his past clients include DreamWorks, HBO, Walt Disney, Colgate Palmolive, and Pfizer. He was part of the extraordinary astronomical exhibit The Power of Ten, Appearing in the Air and Space Museum and Museum of Science in Boston. He a former instructor at the Atelier at Flowerfield. He has extensive experience in all forms of digital media, as well as transportation, hospitality and logistics. He is an avid fisherman and photographer. He currently resides in Coram NY with his wife and family.
