Antique, Edwardian diamond five-stone gypsy ring

Provenance Original to c.1912, this Edwardian gypsy ring is set with five round old-cut diamonds, each framed within a hand engraved star-setting. The diamonds and the stars they sit within are graduated in size, with the central stone being largest. The diamonds are grain-set in open-back settings and sit in flush with the gold band. The 18ct gold shoulders smoothly taper to a solid D-shape shank. The Natural Stones Largest Diamond Weight: 0.07ct Largest Diamond Size: Length 2.3mm; Width 2.1mm; Depth 2mm Total Diamond Weight: 0.14ct; Five round old-cut diamonds. The Band Metal Composition: 18ct yellow gold, platinum Hallmarks: Marked with hallmarks that trace the ring back to Birmingham, 1912. Further marked with '18' to indicate 18ct yellow gold. Marked with maker's mark, 'CLM', which we have not been able to trace further. The Ring Overall Front Head Dimensions: Length 7.3mm; Width 17.1mm (including shoulders) Height of Setting: 1.3mm General Wear & Condition Excellent: all stones are secure and well set, with no damage to the mount.
