It combines the art of handblock printing with the mud-resist technique. Artisans apply a specially prepared mud paste onto the fabric using carved wooden blocks. The fabric is then dyed, and the areas covered with the paste resist the dye, creating distinctive patterns. Once dried, the mud is washed off to reveal the printed design.
