Latkan –Brass Hanging Banana Bunch

Latkan –Brass Hanging Banana Bunch Latkan follows the banana bunch the way it grows: tiers of fruit along a curved stalk, ending in a blossom that hangs at the tip. It's suspended from a brass chain, so it moves gently and throws a shadow on the wall that becomes part of the piece. Every banana is shaped and finished by hand. Hang it over a console, in a stairwell or by a sunlit wall. The sculpture weighs 14 kg. More than 20 artisans work on each one over several days, shaping, joining and finishing every banana by hand, so no two pieces are exactly alike. It's a statement piece for an entryway, a large console or a corner that needs presence.
