"Cream Satin & Wool" Vintage 1950's Cream Wool & Satin Cardigan UK 10 US 6

This 1950's cream wool mix cardigan, in a classical knit pattern, accented by cream rayon satin accents and finished with pearlescent beaded buttons, is the perfect piece to keep away the chill during the cooler months. The rounded neckline is framed by a double strand border of cream rayon satin, which continues along either side of the front of the cardigan in the form of a single strand border and joins the hemline in a double strand border. The simple shoulder line, sets off the bracelet length inset sleeves, which are edged with double strand borders of cream rayon satin. The elegant silhouette of the cardigan, features statement bead embellished buttons, which conceal hook and eye fastenings, whilst drawing the eye to the mock pockets above either side of the hemline, which are in turn decorated with beaded buttons. Finished with delicate side vents which can be worn open or closed, aided by concealed hook and eyes, and lined in cream rayon. The lining shows signs of wear along the nape with a very gentle water/age mark internally and a few small scattered pin sized age marks and pin sized holes. A small and light pink pin sized mark along the bottom left hand side front of the hemline.These minor flaws are not apparent when the cardigan is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection.
