Early 19th Century Regency Oak Double Gateleg Extending Dining Table

A substantial early 19th century double gateleg dining table in oak, probably Regency in date. The table has two drop leaves supported by gate legs and sits on turned, barley-twist stretchers and legs. The top shows an attractive aged patina with historic marks and scratches that are consistent with long use. Dimensions Width: 172 cm Depth: 152 cm Height: 71 cm Condition Structurally sound and stable; the gateleg mechanism and legs are solid. The tabletop has a pronounced central split/crack and several surface scratches, marks and small dark filled holes visible in the pictures. The finish is the original aged surface and shows wear, scuffs and historic repairs/fills in places. This is a working antique table offered with its existing patina and surface condition.
