Ethiopia Dembi

In Sidama, Ethiopia, first-generation coffee producer Solomon Hameso Boky works alongside his son and approximately 200 local farmers who deliver freshly harvested coffee cherries to his processing sites. At Dembi, Solomon cultivates coffee among established trees and enriches the soil with a thick layer of natural compost. His work also supports the surrounding community by creating employment for women, assisting local elders, and providing young coffee plants to neighboring farmers. After harvest, the cherries are carefully sorted and naturally processed on raised African beds. Grown at elevations of 1,800–2,000 meters, Dembi produces a smooth and fruit-forward cup with lively orange citrus and sweet strawberry notes. $27.95
