On the palate, it is balanced and vibrant, with a broad and enveloping mouthfeel. Its long finish showcases elegance and finesse due to the high quality oak barrels. The wine is aged for 19 months in American (65%) and French (35%) oak barrels prior to release. ABOUT THE PRODUCER: For more than 120 years, five generations of the Bujanda family have produced some of the finest wines from Rioja. Their approach emphasizes sustainability and minimal intervention, utilizing organic matter to fertilize the soil and pheromones as a pest control system. They also focus on biodiversity-based viticulture, paying attention to the vineyard ecosystem through the installation of protective floriculture and insect hotels. They have been pioneers in the recovery of local varieties, including Maturana, Graciano, and White Tempranillo.
