These fair trade earrings are contemporary and fun. They feature a silver metal circle and gold-tone bar, creating a unique mixed-metal design. Measures 2.5" long. Gold-plated brass. ABOUT THE ARTISANS This piece of jewelry is handmade by low-income women in a fair trade cooperative in New Delhi which provides training and education while paying the women fair wages. One of the longest-running cooperatives in India, dating back to the 1970's, it not only provides employment, but actively campaigns against child labor, illiteracy, unfair trade practices, discrimination and AIDS.
