VINTAGE 1978 OMEGA ‘GENEVE’ CALENDAR WATCH CALIBRE 1030
VINTAGE 1978 OMEGA ‘GENEVE’ CALENDAR WATCH CALIBRE 1030. This super vintage Omega was manufactured in 1978, confirmed by it’s individual movement number 41471703. The ‘Geneve’ range by Omega was considered to be the budget line of omega’s at the time, however they all used exactly the same ultra-high quality movements as the more expensive models. This particular example houses the hand-wound calibre 1030 movement with calendar and the one we see here is in pristine condition, it must be one of the finest calibre 1030’s that we have come across. A very handsome watch and a large size. The water-proof rose gold plated case measures 35mm across the bezel, not including the crown and 42mm tip-to-tip. The exceptional original star-burst silvered dial with contrasting polished gold baton divisions and luminous dots. Signed simply ’Omega’ with ’Swiss made’ below six. The gold & luminous filled polished hands contrasting with the dial perfectly. The original winding crown with the’ Omega’ symbol to the centre is still present. The watch is in very fine condition throughout. Fitted with a new, fine quality alligator-grain strap. this would be an excellent starter Omega for your collection.
