The Mattie Ring in Montana Sapphire

The universe and I collaborated on the design for The Mattie last fall, and I was so excited to bring her to life! A deluxe and intricate design, she served as my showpiece for this years Tucson Gem Show. Not only is the design striking, referencing art deco themes and playing with negative space, but the gem is an absolutely incredible no heat Montana Sapphire cut by the talented Jenna Sloane. Two gorgeous triangle diamonds echo the shimmer of the gem, while a mix of opaque and my signature transparent ombre enamel complete the textural journey of the piece. As with most sapphires, this one is a bit of a chameleon, appearing more blue, teal, or sage depending on the lighting.
