Vintage Chanel Mesh Belt with Mother-of-Pearl Flower

DETAILS This is a standout belt from Chanel, designed to fit around the hips rather than the waist. It is in a mesh style in silvertone and has a beautiful flower in faux mother of pearl at the clasp with a double row of 'petals' forming the flower. The clasp fastens behind the flower through a simple bar and hook arrangement. Sensational worn with trousers or skirt! It it signed and dated on an oval plaque on reverse of flower/clasp. From Autumn/Winter 1998 (98A). Measurements Total length of belt is 35" (89cms) and it is 1.15" (3cms) wide. The flower motif is 1.6"' diameter (4cms). The belt is non-adjustable and is meant to fit lower, over the hips rather than around the waist. The belt is in excellent condition with no sign of tarnish.
