Food for Special Medical Purposes Used for the dietary management of diamine oxidase (DAO) deficiency and/or histamine intolerance associated with impaired histamine metabolism. 1 capsule contains 4.2 mg of protein extract from porcine kidneys, including 0.3 mg of the DAO enzyme. When taken before a meal, the capsule increases the amount of DAO enzyme in the small intestine, where it helps break down histamine consumed through food. As a result, the body may break down dietary histamine more effectively, which could otherwise cause unpleasant reactions in sensitive individuals. ENZYME STABILITY IS CRUCIAL Each blister containing 15 capsules is individually protected in a special polypropylene foil with a desiccant – protection against air humidity to preserve the stability of the enzyme. Guaranteed DAO enzyme content until the end of the minimum shelf life, i.e. 24 months. Gastro-resistant capsules resistant to stomach acids ensure the release of the DAO enzyme only in the small intestine. Recommended dosage: Take 1 capsule with water 15 minutes before consuming a meal containing histamine. The maximum daily dose is 3 capsules (corresponding to 3 histamine-containing meals per day). The recommended daily dose must not be exceeded. Important notice: The product is intended for individuals over 3 years of age. It is not suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition.
