The Threadfin Rainbowfish (Iriatherina werneri) is a small rainbowfish species native to New Guinea. These fish are extremely hardy, and have a unique body-shape. Minimum Tank Size: 10 Gallons Maximum Fish Size: 1.5" Water Temperature: 68F - 83F Ideal pH: 6.0 - 7.0 Water Hardness: 7 - 19 dGH Temperament: Shoaling species, peaceful. Males display an interesting "dance" to show dominance to one another. Unless experienced with fish-in cycling, we always suggest cycling an aquarium BEFORE adding fish.
