Cotton Seersucker - Provence Blue

The holy grail of seersucker - a 100% cotton cloth! (Most are a polyester mix but not ours.) Seersucker is a wonderfully textured fabric which is woven with a naturally striped pucker, where the weaving threads are slackened to create a looser tension 'stripe'. This structure makes it breathable and lightweight. It might be a solid colour but there is still plenty of interest in this fabric. The stripe caused by the tight/slack weave is fairly small, with the 'stripes approximately 3mm. This fabric is a lovely soft-blue colour. This fabric has would be ideal for lots of different garments: shirt, top or blouse. It would be perfect for a beach cover-up or kaftan for holidays and look great as a dress.
