Exposed wire Standard Test Piece AWG 14-30

The exposed wire STP is a test piece designed to ensure that the performance requirements for X-ray machines are met and maintained as required by the ECAC (European Civil Aviation Conference) and many national authorities. The STP can be used on all manufacturers’ models of X-ray machines. Exposed Wire Standard Test Piece in AWG (American Wire Gauge) format is meant mainly for international (outside EU) use. Wires in AWG model are 24, 30, 32 and 36. Steel step wedge for simple penetration is from 14mm up to 30mm. Complies with the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) requirements in Doc 30 point 12.3.2 (Annex IV-12-M), European Commission Regulations EU2015/1998, EU300/2008 and European Commission Decision (2015) 8005.
