Binatang Press! In Conversation with… Ruangrupa is a chapbook edited by Andreas Junus and Felix Dass. Featuring an expansive interview with key members of Indonesian contemporary art collective, ruangrupa, this reader seeks to unpack and document the collective’s evolution over the past 25 years. Founded in 2000 by a group of seven artists, ruangrupa has since become an internationally-renowned ‘art initiative’ and experimental art space in South Jakarta, providing a safe space for critical dialgoue, exhibitions, events, festivals, workshops and publishing projects. On the occasion of ruangrupa’s 25th anniversary, Andreas Junus and Felix Dass pose 25 questions. Contributors include Ade Darmawan, Ajeng Nurul Aini, Farid Rakun and Indra Ameng.
