'Eventually Everything Connects' Framed 30x40 In this piece, broad brush strokes on raw canvas contain splatters of black paint trail out in all directions. Their distinct splatters hold their form where the canvas was dry and disintegrate into formlessness where it was wet. My inspiration for this work was an exploration of a physical representation of a non physical experience, like thought or meditation. Christa an abstract painter from the Midwest. She creates gestural, abstract paintings. She is interested in conveying the physical experience of the passage of time. Working with varying consistencies of paint, she creates contrasting areas of defined edges and seamless blending of shape and color. The ephemeral nature of our present experience inspires her to explore the relationship between form and the formless.
