This variety is best suited to cool and temperate gardens, where rhubarb can enjoy a winter rest followed by strong spring growth. Plant it into deep, fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost, then keep it evenly moist during active growth. Once established, the stalks can be harvested for pies, crumbles, sauces, stewed fruit, jams and preserves. Only the stalks are edible. The leaves must not be eaten.
