The Kai 42 is still made by the Miyazaki Chair Company in Japan and is considered the most famous design by Kai Kristinasen. The Designer’s Inspiration “Economy, ecology, and common sense” – Kai Krisitansen (b1929) Vintage set of 8 in natural oak raw finish. Best design Features The half cut short armrest allows Kai 42 to partly tuck under a table. Also features tilting backrests, tapered legs, and plenty of authentic mid century style. Fabrication Solid oak frame in natural, smooth leather in Col – forest green warm toned. Design Consigned Stylist Compact, comfortable, Danish dining chairs, proportioned for smaller spaces. The green leather with the mid century timber frames is a nice combo. Leather recently professionally replaced by current owner. Our Condition Report 3/5 (That’s vintage over 10 years old) All very good in same condition.
