Extendable dining table by Mikael Laursen, solid teak, 1960s
A sculptural mid-century classic – a dining table featuring the clean lines of Danish Modern design, crafted with the characteristic craftsmanship of the 1960s. The elegant shape, the warm teak and the arched base make this piece a real statement — functional, timeless and exceptional. Thanks to the 50 cm extension, the round table can be extended to a 170 cm oval. The legs ‘move’ with it, ensuring they do not obstruct any seating position. The table is made entirely of solid teak, meaning it could be restored should any damage occur in the future. It is fitted with a very sturdy extension mechanism. The table has been sanded and finished with a glossy varnish.
