YUSEN the 1st was the father of Yohie Konishi, a recognized holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property in Tokoname City. This Houhin , created approximately 40 to 50 years ago, gives a gentle, warm, and simple impression. Made of white clay with elegant, very thin body, it features a beautiful hidasuki (fire markings) pattern, and appears to have some mogake (seaweed firing effects) on the lid, adding to its charm. Its smooth texture and excellent water flow from the spout make it both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
