🎓 Coaching Module What You’ll Learn & Course Structure 📘 What Will I Learn? This module introduces the core foundations of coaching, helping you begin your journey through the Coach Award. You’ll explore: Basic coaching approaches, skills, and behaviours The Prepare–Do–Reflect model to guide your coaching process How to adapt your coaching to suit: Who you coach What you coach How you coach Rather than prescribing a single “best way” to coach, this module encourages you to discover what works best for you and your riders. You’ll also begin to explore key coaching themes, including: Rider engagement Creating inclusive and safe environments Covering both physical safety and broader Duty of Care Reflective practice – thinking in, on, and for action These concepts are brought to life through interactive small-group seminars and a Development Day, where you’ll apply your learning in a practical setting. 🧭 Course Structure & Duration The course is delivered through a blended learning model, combining online and face-to-face elements, with support from your course tutor throughout. 3 Zoom Calls 4th March 18:00 – 19:00 25th March 18:00 – 19:00 22nd April 18:00 – 19:00 1 X Development Days (discipline-specific) based at the school Saturday 25th April 9:0 – 16:00 Online learning modules accessed in advance Mentoring and tutor support throughout the course The full learning experience takes place over 4 weeks, including: 2 weeks of online learning access before your first Development Day 1 Development Day to apply and explore your learning
