Nepenthes ovata BE-3919

From a single carefully selected clone out of microprop. Endemic to the Barisan Range in Sumatra, lower pitchers are robust with wide, flared peristomes. The upper pitchers are infundibular and have colorful striping on their peristomes. This items was carefully selected over many years from 24 candidate clones to be as representative of the species as possible. In 2006 this species was introduced under BE-3133 as a random selection from 24 clones out of microprop. This item was introduced as the best selected clone from BE-3133 in April 2018.
