Kapital - USM Smock Hoodie
Originally founded in 1984 by Toshikiyo Hirata, Kapital was born out of a love for American denim and vintage clothing. Based in Japan's denim capital, Kojima, Toshikyo and his son Kiro produce some of the world's most iconic denim. Kapital creates unique garments using traditional dying techniques and construction methods in combination with playful ideas and motifs. In an often copy-and-paste industry, Kapital is always fresh and original; there is nothing else quite like it. In typical Kapital form, this hoodie takes design cues from a mix of US Military and British Navy garb, reducing it down to a casual sweat for everyday wear. It's crafted from a dry handle cotton French terry sweatshirting that has been garment dyed for a worn-in look. It features a quarter zip closure on the front, a front strap with button closure and a full zip through the hood. The hood can be worn unzipped and draped over the shoulders, exaggerating the naval styling. Snaps on the hood can be used to create a rolled, faux collar look. One sweatshirt, multiple ways to wear!
