The use of pigmented and waterproof inks in fountain pens requires careful care of these sensitive writing instruments. While fountain pens can be cleaned with relatively little effort after using dye-based inks, you should make sure that you do not allow any residue in the filler to dry when using pigmented inks, as these can usually only be removed by mechanical cleaning with the help of aggressive cleaning agents can be removed. To prevent this, we recommend that you always clean your fountain pens thoroughly after use. To achieve a better cleaning effect than with clear water, we developed the Write & Draw Cleaner. This special fountain pen cleaner loosens the color pigments and the binder contained in the Write & Draw inks, ensuring residue-free cleaning of your writing instruments. It is suitable for fountain pens, calligraphy springs, brushes and glass springs. If necessary, you can also leave the ink cleaner on overnight. The Write & Draw Cleaner contains only mild cleaning substances, so that steel or gold springs, ink conductors or brush bristles are not attacked. For springs with colored coatings (gold, copper, black), these can come loose if additional mechanical cleaning is carried out. We recommend testing this beforehand in an inconspicuous area. The fountain pen cleaner is not suitable for already dried inks to remove. Just like the Write & Draw drawing inks, the cleaner is made exclusively from vegan ingredients.
