Temperature extremes, condensation, and physical exposure kill them. The consequence on a BMS is a dead point — a sensor that was supposed to be monitoring a critical temperature that stopped reporting three months ago and nobody noticed until something failed. The TUNDRA is built for these environments. IP67 means it survives water immersion. The operating range of -40°C to +70°C covers every building application. The 15-year battery life means it's still reporting long after the FM contract has renewed. The external probe port means you can mount the body outside the cold environment and run the probe in — useful in pharmaceutical cold rooms where access is controlled and disturbing the temperature environment matters.
