ON HOLD Vintage moroccan rug - dark brown, beige, yellow - Zanafi - 4.9x9feet / 150x275cm

Zanafi rugs were made by the Aït Ouaouzguite tribe in the High Atlas Mountains, Morocco, often near the Siroua region. This one is a real vintage, unique one with its middle band in yellow and a rustic feel. It is a flatweave, handcrafted using a mix of sheep wool and cotton. It is quite light and flexible, at home you would probably need to add rugpads. The composition is classic and minimalist in a series of dark brown and beige bands, some showing graphic embroideries, ending at both extremities with lovely tassels. Pictures and video were taken in my all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate.
