Watermelon Zoanthids Cespitularia Xenia Soft Coral
Sparkling Blue Violet Cespitularia Sweet combo of strawberry wine, watermelon zoanthids and African Xenia on a big tile. Cespitularia is blue/violet and it has sparkles under certain blue lighting. Easy to keep in established aquariums with good water quality. Last picture is of my mother colony. Approx 2.5 inch tile with 23+ polyps Reef Gardener Inc is a Florida licensed aquaculture facility, certificate #AQ0623486 Cespitularia care: This coral is very similar to xenia in care, it likes medium - high light and moderate flow. It spreads by sprouting out new pieces from itself but this happens slower than with xenia so it is easier to control and won't become a nuisance like xenia can be. It does best in tanks with good water chemistry, if you do not maintain your calcium and alkalinity at normal levels it will not thrive and will tend to whither away. Cespitularia makes a beautiful soft coral in any reef tank. This coral prefers somewhat higher nitrates, if you have very low nutrients it may not do well for you.
