J.R. Torrey’s Patent Razor Strop, 1861 Dated Civil War era razor strop retaining its original printed paper label advertising J.R. Torrey’s Strop “with hone for razors… once tried always used,” and dated 1861. The wooden paddle form example remains intact with its original leather strop surface, showing honest period wear and use. The paper label, though worn and partially abraded, remains largely legible and displays classic mid-19th century typography along with period advertising motifs.
