The Strata Band is a sculptural sterling silver ring created using Mitsuro Hikime. The ring’s sweeping lines resemble geological strata shaped over time, giving the surface a quiet sense of depth and motion. Once the wax form is complete, it is cast in sterling silver and hand finished to preserve the natural texture created during the forming process. Because each Mitsuro Hikime form develops differently as the wax is stretched, every ring carries its own unique pattern and character.
