PHOENIX Oak End Grain
To be honest – if you don’t have a worryingly fanatical attitude towards cooking, the PHOENIX is simply oversized. Seriously. For everyone with a worryingly fanatical attitude towards cooking: The Phoenix is THE upgrade. Our ultra-performance tool. More of a multifunctional workbench than a cutting board, the PHOENIX is an extremely specialized tool that transforms the many small, tedious details of kitchen work into a fantastic workflow, allowing you to effortlessly and carefree master even highly complex menus. For a lifetime. The Phoenix is our superlative: it’s huge, it’s heavy, it takes up space, and it’s anything but discreet. And because of that, it’s probably the most spectacular piece of equipment you can put in your kitchen. The work surface is sized so that, alongside a generous working area, there’s enough space to store ingredients temporarily, arrange tools within easy reach, and even plate courses on the board. The Brackets system is designed for maximum load: up to 7 work containers can be attached to the front and sides, supporting a maximum load of 35kg without reaching its limits – ideal for cooking sessions for 4-12 people. IN DETAIL: THE PHOENIX SERIES While Basic and Mono can still be considered regular cutting boards with a bit of goodwill, the Phoenix series fundamentally differs simply by its two-part construction: All the “technology” – that is, Brackets, centering springs, and rubber feet – is separated from the actual cutting surface and housed in a frame made of solid, hand-cast polyurethane. The surface rests only on the base, precisely and wobble-free centered by form fit. This construction has decisive advantages: SEPARATION OF AROMAS & FOODS The surface can be easily rotated with a quick movement during cooking. This allows different aromas and foods to be separated effortlessly, e.g., chili & garlic or meat/fish from the vegetarian course. EASY CLEANING The surface can be easily lifted out and cleaned separately during and after cooking, while the entire base with containers simply stays on the table. VARIOUS SURFACES You can combine the Phoenix base with different surfaces to better organize kitchen work, e.g., one surface for meat or fish and another for vegetables. (We’ve heard from customers who use one surface for working and another that only comes out when guests arrive who are meant to be impressed – this isn’t that uncommon.)
