Not your typical Mother's Day. Come join us on the farm to savor the season with a delicious feast packed with goodness and shaped by what we’ve freshly harvested. You’ll be joining us on our farm in Ellijay, where the food is grown, harvested, and prepared as part of our daily life. Nothing is staged—this is just how we live and cook. The meal, a collaboration with Prana Kitchens, follows Ayurvedic principles and will be more than just a culinary experience. The meticulously designed menu promotes balance and wellbeing while also delighting your taste buds, with intention brought to every aspect of preparation. You’ll be seated outdoors, surrounded by the land your food comes from, with dishes mindfully prepared and thoughtfully served throughout the afternoon. As you enjoy your meal, we will share insights into the preparation, the myriad flavors of traditional South Indian cuisine, and the health benefits they offer. As a special Mother’s Day touch, each guest will receive a surprise takeaway activity to extend the experience beyond the farm. What is the South Indian “Thali” meal? It is a celebration of culinary traditions from the southern states of India. We will serve a curated South Indian thali built around seasonal produce and Ayurvedic balance. Each element is prepared with intention to nourish, balance, and celebrate the rhythm of the land. Expect a harmonious progression of courses, including lentils and greens, seasonal vegetable preparations, spiced sambar, light rasam, fresh salads, cooling yogurt dish, a tangy chutney, steamed red rice with ghee and accompaniments, and a traditional festive dessert to conclude. What is Ayurveda? An ancient traditional approach to eating that emphasizes balance, digestion, and the relationship between food and wellbeing. In simple terms, it is about eating in a way that supports your body, and being conscious and attentive to how your body responds to the food you consume.
