Description A vintage sterling silver ingot pendant on a silver chain. The pendant is in the shape of a bullion bar and has feature hallmarks to the front. These are from the Sheffield assay office and dated to 1979. The bar is quite a chunky example with good weight approx. 31 grams. The maker is Carrs of Sheffield. It comes on a 50cm chain which has silver marks to the connector ring and spring ring.The closure is a standard spring ring. These ingot pendants were made popular during the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II and have remained a favour design ever since. Carrs is a renowned UK silversmiths and one of the few remaining today in Sheffield.
