Bachelder Haynes Street Vineyard Gamay Noir 2024

Haynes Street shows us we're clearly in the town of Jordan; it's got all the lightness of being in the perfume and chalkiness that we find from Pinot Noir up on the Bench. The nose opens up with a mix of raspberry, cherry, and darker mulberry. That absolutely enticing bouquet leads to a palate with deep Bing cherry/grenadine flavours that come through with richness and verve. These are still young vines… but boy, what lip-smacking acidity and minerality! This is a wine to follow.
