Stop digging the phone out with gloves on. Your phone is buried in a chest pocket under a hi-vis, the machine is running, and you hear nothing. Four missed calls later you are driving back to camp to find out what somebody wanted three hours ago. This watch puts the caller's name, the message and the time on your wrist, on a screen big enough to read in full sun without pulling a glove off. The battery goes a working week between charges and it fills from a magnetic contact pad, so there is one less cable to lose out of the crib bag. One thing straight up, because the name on this listing gets it wrong. There is no GPS receiver inside this watch. The supplier's own parameter panel lists the processor, the motion sensor, the optical sensors and Bluetooth, and no GNSS chip at all. Distance and any route map come from your phone's GPS over Bluetooth, so the phone has to be on you and switched on. Left on its own, the watch counts steps and estimates distance from those steps. If you want a track log with the phone left in the ute, a dedicated GNSS unit is the right tool, and we would rather say so here than have you work it out on the hill. What It Does Alerts on your wrist: caller name, SMS and app notifications pushed across from the paired phone, with a reject-call button. Screen you can read: 1.92 in touch display at 240 x 284, behind 2.5D curved tempered glass. Battery that lasts: 280 mAh, quoted by the supplier at 7 to 12 days of use and 30 to 40 days on standby. Activity tracking: steps, calories, sleep and a long list of exercise modes, logged to the phone app. Wellness readings: displays heart rate, blood oxygen, respiratory rate and skin temperature as reference figures to watch against your own baseline. Everyday tools: alarm, stopwatch, countdown, calculator, music control, remote camera shutter, find-my-phone, cycle calendar and weather pulled from the phone. Strap you can swap: 22 mm quick-release fitting, so the band that comes with your option is not the only one it will ever wear. Key Features Zinc alloy case: 35 mm across the face and 12 mm thick, with a moulded back shell. Band length: 260 mm overall, which suits most adult wrists with room either side. Four strap materials: leather, TPU silicone, solid steel link and steel mesh, depending on the option you pick. Magnetic charging: contact pins on the back shell, so there is no port to let grit in. Bluetooth 5.0: pairs with Android 5.0 or later and iOS 8.0 or later through the H Band app. Chest accessories included: the box carries an elastic chest belt, adhesive chest pads and a spare silicone strap. Marks on the case back: CE and RoHS are moulded into the shell. No certificate was sighted for either. Free delivery: Australia and New Zealand, 10 to 14 days from the day you order. Allow up to 3 weeks, longer for regional and remote addresses. Limits It will not measure your blood sugar or your blood pressure. The watch carries screens for both, and the supplier's marketing images push them hard. We are not standing behind either one. No consumer wrist device has a validated way to read blood glucose through skin, and a cuffless optical estimate is not a blood pressure reading. Those figures are produced by an algorithm, not by a measurement. The supplier's own artwork carries a line along the bottom saying the data cannot be used as medical data, which tells you what it is worth. If you are managing diabetes or high blood pressure, use the test kit and the cuff your doctor gave you. Nothing on this watch replaces either, and no reading it shows should change a dose, a meal, or a decision to go and get help. It will not diagnose a heart problem. The single-lead trace, the HRV chart and the arrhythmia wording in the supplier's images are fitness-app features, not a clinical assessment. It will not detect atrial fibrillation reliably and it is nothing like a proper twelve-lead ECG. If your chest hurts or your heartbeat feels wrong, ring a doctor, not your wrist. It will not track you without your phone. No GNSS receiver is fitted. There is no satellite messaging, no emergency SOS to a rescue service, and no way for anyone to see where you are unless your phone is with you, charged, in coverage and sharing. Out of phone range it is a watch with a step counter. It is not a swimming watch. The supplier's own panel calls it daily-life water resistant, then says in the very next line that it cannot be soaked in water for a long time. No IP rating is printed on the case or stated on the parameter panel, and no ATM pressure figure is given anywhere. Rain, sweat, a splash at the trough or washing your hands is what it is built for. Do not swim in it, do not shower in it, and do not take it near diving. Leather and steel mesh straps in particular will not thank you for a soaking. It will not make or take calls. The supplier's feature list shows call alerts and a reject button. No speaker or microphone is listed on the parameter panel, so treat it as a notifier rather than a phone on your wrist. Q & A Will it map my walk if I leave the phone behind? No. There is no GNSS chip in it, so the route line comes from your phone. Leave the phone behind and you get a step count and an estimated distance worked out from your stride, which drifts on rough ground and in soft sand. Can I wear it in the shower or for a swim? No. The supplier states splash and rain only, and specifically says it cannot be soaked. There is no IP rating and no ATM figure behind it, so there is nothing to swim against. Take it off first. How good are the health numbers? Heart rate and blood oxygen from a wrist optical sensor are reasonable for watching a trend against your own baseline and poor for an absolute figure, especially when you are moving or cold. Skin temperature is skin temperature, not core temperature. Blood pressure and blood sugar are dealt with under Limits: do not rely on them. Which phones does it work with? Android 5.0 or later and iOS 8.0 or later, over Bluetooth 5.0, using the H Band app. Notifications need the app left running with permission to read them. Can I put a different band on it? Yes. The lugs take a standard 22 mm quick-release strap, so any 22 mm band will fit. A spare silicone strap comes in the box regardless of which option you order. What is the chest belt for? The watch body unclips and sits in a chest cradle held on by the elastic belt or the adhesive pads, which the supplier says gives a steadier trace than reading from the wrist. It is still a consumer fitness feature and it is still not a medical instrument.
