"Winter Solstice" - Yarn Advent Calendar 2024 - Daily mini skeins

The Daily Advent Calendar will include 24 cute little numbered packets, each one containing a micro (10g) or mini (20g) skein of lovingly hand-dyed yarn. A new knitting pattern and extra little gifts will be included! For the Daily Advent all colourways will be semisolid (see example pictures) in two main colors that will merge and fade one in the next forming a big fade set. After the colorful previous editions, it is time for a soft, moody and earthy collection to celebrate the shortest day of the year, Winter Solstice, and the coldest and darkest season it brings, which is vital to bring the light and life back in Spring 🌱 The color palette This year palette is based on two main colors, cool Teal-Blues, the color of snow, ice, shades and dark sky, and a warm Cinnamon Browns, the colors of subtle lights of the Polar Night, when the sun never rise and just lightly color the sky, of the reflections and shades this gentle light creates, of dead trees which didn't survive the ice cold. The Daily Advent is based on my gradient sets (find examples on the pictures below) but with a special touch, as there will be some classic semisolid gradients and some overdyed ones, to create more nuances of the same hue and create subtle colors that will gently merge one into the next. The set will form a huge fade, with colors shifting from light to dark tones a few times, to make for a very special fade. A new knitting pattern A brand new easy knitting pattern, designed by me for this beautiful set, will be included. It will be simple enough to knit it day by day while opening the little packages, even in such a busy time of year. This time it will be a scarf/stole. You can see the inspirations and colors and patterns from previous years in the collage photos below, though this time we're exploring a very different color theme, which I can't wait to bring you to celebrate together, even from a distance. The technical stuff A copy of the new 2024 Advent knitting pattern will be included in the form of a coupon code, or either it will be sent via e-mail on December 1st.
