6020CLPM SOIL SPIKE SOLN,500mL
Description/ Intended use A spike solution specifically designed for use with EPA method 6020 Read more... The laboratory must have procedures for documenting the effect of the matrix on method performance (precision, bias, and sensitivity). At a minimum, this should include the analysis of QC samples including a method blank, a matrix spike (MS), a laboratory control sample (LCS), and a duplicate sample in each analytical batch. Any method blanks, LCS, MS samples, and duplicate samples should be subjected to the same preparatory and instrument determination procedures as those used on actual samples. Documenting the effect of the matrix should include the analysis of at least one MS and one duplicate unspiked sample or one matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate (MS/MSD) pair for each batch of samples processed, at a minimum frequency of one per every 20 samples. An MS/MSD pair is used to document the bias and precision of a method in a given sample matrix. The decision on whether to prepare and analyze duplicate samples or an MS/MSD pair must be based on knowledge of the samples in the analysis batch.
