William Siu - Chopstick Stand

William Siu (Siu Yu-hang) is a Hong Kong ceramic artist with 17 years of practice, working primarily in figures, shopfronts, buildings and street scenes that rebuild the city's everyday landscape in clay. He is one of the ceramic artists of St James' Creation — the platform under St James' Settlement, running since 1999, that supports artists with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder — and is known for the focus and memory he brings to layering each detail into his own quietly ordered world. His work has shown across Korea, Japan, the UK and France in more than 50 group exhibitions, with City Memories at Fingertips marking his first solo show.
